NextStop Theatre Company's LOVE, LOSS, AND WHAT I WORE to Storm Northern Virginia This Month

By:

Female audiences have reason to rejoice in Northern Virginia this February with the regional premiere of the NextStop Theatre Company's production of "Love, Loss, and What I Wore." This show, from the writers of "Sleepless in Seattle," "You've Got Mail," and "When Harry Met Sally," brings the power of women together to share their stories through fashion.

It's amazing how the smallest things can trigger the biggest memories. Based on the international best-seller by Ilene Beckerman, this adaptation by acclaimed writers Nora and Delia Ephron, "Love, Loss and What I Wore" uses clothing and accessories to conjure up memories, ideas and feelings to which all women can relate. Over the course of the evening, six actresses portray over 30 characters in a night that will tickle your funny bone and warm your heart.

"It's a joy to be able to present a female perspective, from female authors, with an all female cast," says Director Lorraine Magee. "The play is focused on the female experience. That said, it's not for ladies only. 'Love, Loss, and What I Wore' has a great deal to offer fathers, brothers, husbands, sons, and friends of the male persuasion."

In addition to the amazing NextStop Theatre cast, previous off-Broadway productions have hosted a rotating list of stars including Kristin Chenoweth, Tyne Daly, Fran Drescher, Melissa Joan Hart, and Rosie O'Donnell. NextStop Theatre's production will star local actresses Vivian Allvin, Marilyn Bennett, Tamieka Chavis, Sarah Holt, Shaina Murphy, and Jacklyn Young.
