Mark Scharf's KEEPING FAITH Opens at Laurel Mill Playhouse Tonight

KEEPING FAITH, a comedy by Mark Scharf, will run tonight, March 15, 2013 through March 24, 2013 at Laurel Mill Playhouse, 508 Main Street, Laurel, Md. The show is directed by Patrick Pase with assistant director Dana Medford and produced by Maureen Rogers. Keeping Faith will star Patrick Pase, Julie Rogers, Maureen Rogers and Larry Simmons.

What do parents do to stop their 18 year old daughter from marrying a 45 year old man? They kidnap her and hilarity ensues!

Mark is very pleased to return to LMP, a theatre that truly cares about playwrights and new work. LMP audiences may recall productions of his plays FREEFALL, LIZARD BRAINS, REPLAY, WILDERNESS, LIKE WHITE ON RICE and the world premiere of GREY HAIR AND ZITS. Mark last appeared onstage as Larry Slade in Baltimore City Paper's Best of 2012 Production of THE ICEMAN COMETH at FPCT. Mark is a member of The Dramatists Guild of America, Inc.

KEEPING FAITH is the winner of the 2008 Robert J. Pickering Award for Excellence in Playwriting. The play has received productions across the USA and in New South Wales, Australia. KEEPING FAITH is published by Original Works Publishing and is also available for Kindle; for details click HERE.

Mark Scharf will be attending Keeping Faith March 24 for the Sunday matinee at 2pm. There will be a talk back after the performance and then we are going next door to Salute's for a dinner. Reservations are a must!

Performances run weekends from March 15, 2013 through March 24, 2013 with Friday and Saturday evening performances at 8 p.m. Sunday matinees are on March 17 and 24 at 2pm.
