Grain of Sand Theatre Returns to Capital Fringe with Sci-Fi Comedy Tonight

By:

It's Galaxy Quest meets feminist Star Trek in this hilarious parody of all of your favorite science fiction shows. Grain of Sand Theatre, winner of the Capital Fringe Festival's 2011 Best Drama, presents The Greatest Science Fiction Show (no one's ever seen).

Award for Hamlet:Reframed and 2013 Best Drama Award for Tell Tale make their long awaited return to Fringe with this raucous comedy parody of syndicated science fiction classics. Julie's hunt for a long- lost SciFi show takes a surreal turn. With the help of a local comic book store owner, she uncovers truths about the past that might just save the future. But is the truth just science fiction? Written by Pamela H. Leahigh and originally staged as a 4 part serial for Hope Operas this side splittingly funny show will whisk you away to a galaxy not so far away.

Directed by Sara Bickler, director of Capital Fringe's 2014 Best Drama Award Winner and sold out hit R+J: Star Cross'd Deathmatch, the uproarious cast features Beth Amann, Jennifer Berry, Christopher Herring, Christopher Holbert, Luke Morris, Aubri O'Connor, Paolo Santayana and Stephanie Svec.
