Shakespeare in the Woods presents Lear, an adaptation of Shakespeare's classic directed by Elizabeth Dinkova, running August 12–30 on the Taconic Lawn at The Equinox Golf Resort & Spa in Manchester, Vermont. In this production, a secluded community has built its own haven in the woods, where matriarch Lear demands complete submission in exchange for utopia. When Lear moves to pass power to her daughters and a prodigal son returns, the lines between cult and culture blur, forcing everyone's true self to be revealed. Dinkova, Artistic Director of Washington D.C.'s Spooky Action Theater and a Yale School of Drama MFA graduate, returns for her third season with Shakespeare in the Woods.
