Troy has fallen to the Greeks, and Hecuba, its beloved queen, is widowed and enslaved. She mourns her great city and the death of her husband, but when fresh horrors emerge, her grief turns to rage and a lust for revenge. A poignant and ruthless indictment of political necessity when it conveniently turns a blind eye to human suffering, Euripides' play proves that Greek tragedy remains compelling 2,500 years later. Hecuba will be directed by Claudio Medeiros '90 and sponsored by the Theatre Program. The show will open November 18 and run through November 21 at the Mahaney Center for the Arts, Seeler Studio Theatre. A behind the scenes lunch and discussion for Hecuba will be hosted by Claudio Medeiros '90 on November 16, and will include commentary from the cast and crew. Lunch will be provided, and the discussion is free for College ID card holders. Tickets for Hecuba go on sale starting November 1.

Victory
April 28-30, Behind the Scenes Discussion April 26
It is 1660: Britain's brief experiment with republicanism ends, and the monarchy is restored. As Charles II returns to the now-powerless throne, the wife of one of the former republican leaders sets out to recover the pieces of her husband's body, which has been dug up and exhibited on the orders of the new king. Written a few years after Thatcher's ascendancy, Howard Barker's blistering analysis of a failed regime interweaves the national, political, and intensely personal to study the life-shattering effects of fundamental change. Victory will be directed by Richard Romagnoli and sponsored by the Theatre Program. The show will run April 28-30 at the Mahaney Center for the Arts, Seeler Studio Theatre. A behind the scenes lunch and discussion for Victory will take place on April 26, and will be hosted by Richard Romagnoli. The discussion will include commentary from the cast and crew. Lunch will be provided, and the discussion is free for College ID card holders. Tickets for Victory go on sale starting April 11.
