Start with over 100 plain, unadorned wreaths. Pass them out to businesses, merchants and creative individuals all over town. Give everyone free rein to decorate the wreaths any way they like. The result is a local tradition: the Mary Johnson Center Festival of Wreaths, showcasing over 100 clever, eye-catching, and completely delightful holiday wreaths

Once again the festival will be held in downtown Middlebury at Town Hall Theater - a convenient walk from the bustle of holiday shopping. The event is on Saturday, December 7, from 10 am - 6 pm. Proceeds go the Mary Johnson Children's Center and the Middlebury Cooperative Nursery School.

The festival, one of the most loved and well-attended holiday events in Addison County, features food, music, and of course the wonderful wreaths. The wreaths are sold via silent auction, but one needn't buy anything to meet with friends and soak up the holiday spirit. The event is free, with a $3 suggested donation.
