Women's Week Events and More Coming Up at Sweet Dukebox, Hove

MARCH

Friday 3rd - Sherlock in Sussex: His Last Bow (Indoor tour) - Popular local historian Nick Richmond returns with a glimpse into the famous detective's links to the local area - 7.30pm, £6.50

Women's Week

Wed 8th - International Women's Day Charity Gala - Join us to celebrate International Women's Day with drinks and music in aid of local women's charity RISE - 6.30pm, Free (donations encouraged)

Wed 8th - Nell Gwyn: An Epilogue (Theatre) - Tales from King Charles II's mistress and celebrated comic actress, Nell Gwyn - 8pm, £7 (or £12 in combo with The Masks of Aphra Behn)

Wed 8th - The Masks of Aphra Behn (Theatre) - Aphra Behn, the first professional female writer, recounts tales of her time as a spy for King Charles II in the Dutch Wars - 9.30pm, £7 (or £12 in combo with Nell Gwyn: An Epilogue)

Thu 9th - Not Just The Companion (Theatre) - Local companies Cast Iron and Pop Heart Productions join forces to bring to the stage famous speeches written for men, delivered by women - 8pm, £6

Fri 10th - GOAT Island Comedy: The Take-Over (Comedy) - Our regular monthly comedy night gets the Women's Week treatment with an entirely female line-up of comics! - 8pm, £6

Sat 11th - Fannytasticals (Comedy) - Popular local all-female sketch group return once again - book early, they WILL sell out! - 8pm, £6

Sat 11th - My My Immortal (Spoken Word) - Mathilda Gregory returns to read from My Immortal - the best worst Harry Potter teenage goth fanfiction ever written. - 10pm, £6

Wed 15th - All's Fair? Tales of Gender, Equality, and Relationships (Spoken Word) - Storyteller Jon Mason relates ancient tales exploring the tangled roads of gender relations, and asks 'where did we go wrong?' - 8pm, £5

WEEKLY EVENTS

Every Tuesday - Gamie Lee Curtis presents... - Weekly board games night. Bring your own games or play some of ours. 7pm, Free.

Every Sunday - Iron Clad Improv - Drop-in improv workshop suitable for all abilities. Loyalty cards available. 7-9pm, £7.
