Wildheart & Lyric is a Brighton based Theatre Company, founded in 2011 by a group of friends in a dusty pub function room. Each company member was (and still is) working for fantastic, internationally acclaimed companies such as Bureau Of Silly Ideas, Gomito, StrangeFace, Periplum, Spymonkey, but shared a desire to create a new theatrical world of their own.

Their first show Birdy performed in their own venue, The Hurly Burly as part of Brighton Fringe in 2012, and was an unexpected smash hit, garnering them 5 star reviews and a national tour.

Wolf Meat is their second show, and is directed by award winning, internationally acclaimed Mick Barnfather. Barnfather has worked with Complicite, Told By An Idiot and the BBC, and is one of the world's leading teachers of physical comedy.

Artistic Director Carla Espinoza says, 'It's such a privilege to be working with such an experienced and skilled director, he has pushed us so much as a company. We have developed our style as a result, and are taking lots more risk with our devising as a result. It's really exciting.'

Charmed by the company's experimental playfulness, Mick Barnfather has come out of directorial retirement for Wolf Meat; a dirty, absurdist, comedic retelling of Red Riding hood, with a live original score, set in Grandma's Croydon Drug Den.

Wolf Meat is funded by Arts Council England.
