One of Manchester's most successful fringe theatre companies have announced that they will be bringing back for a record third time the smash hit award winning Porno Chic to The Kings Arms, Salford, this October due to overwhelming demand.

The company who recently closed the show explained the decision:

"We sold out our recent run months in advance and had to turn audiences away every night who were hoping to get last minute tickets on the door. It was an amazing feeling but we felt so bad for those who wanted to see it but couldn't," said Craig Hepworth the co-writer and director. "We announced that we would bring the show back for one night on the 7th Oct but that sold out in 3 hours, we added on the 8th and that sold out within 5 hours. We have now added on a 3rd and final night on Thursday Oct 6th. We have also managed to squeeze a few extra seats in on the other nights. We are so proud of this show and we are excited to bring it back to its original home at The Kings Arms."

Porno Chic tells the story of adult film star Harry Reems (played by Richard Allen who received rave reviews) who shot to fame thanks to his role in the ground breaking 70's porn film Deep Throat. Through Harry's eyes we are taken through the filming, release and the political fallout caused by the movie. Harry navigates his way through the high's as his fame grew alongside his co-star Linda Lovelace (Celine Constantinides) to his rock bottom lows facing charges and possible jail time thanks to a government hell bent on bringing him and the movie down. We see the abuse Lovelace suffered at the hands of her husband Chuck Traynor (Ash Preston) and alcoholism taking hold of Reems life. Fast paced, dramatic, funny, satirical, controversial and very adult, Porno Chic takes you behind the curtain of Harry Reems and Linda Lovelace's lives and one of the most profitable movies of all time.

The show will return in 2017 and play various venues around the UK and is already in talks for a London run and run at The New York International Fringe Festival in 2017.

Produced by the award winning and MTA nominated Vertigo Theatre Productions (Ascension, Last Dance, Watching Goldfish Suffocate, M, Rage, Exam, Murder She Writes to name but a few) that is owned by Hepworth and his partner Karl Burge, the show will return with its original cast and under the direction of the original writers/directors Craig Hepworth (award winning and MTA nominated) and Adele Stanhope (award winning)

Alongside Richard Allen and Celine Constantinides the play also stars Stuart Reeve (Last Dance, Ascension), Ash Preston(The Séance), Andrew Marsden (Exam) and Paul Worrall (Last Dance, Ascension) Emma Morgan (Murder She Writes) and Kerry Ely

Don't miss the show that critics called Unmissable - 5 stars (what's on stage), Outstanding (Now/Then Magazine), Extraordinary (British Theatre Guide) Excellent (The Good Review) Compelling (North West End) Dynamic - 5 stars (VIVA Magazine) and Ambitious (Manchester Theatre Awards).
