The latest piece of ambitious new writing at Theatre503 will be the politically fuelled EleXion, showing at the venue in May. This production, which has been co-authored by the emerging playwrights on the 503Five resident writer programme (Chloe Todd Fordham, Brian Mullin, Vinay Patel, Ella Greenhill and Neasa O'Callaghan), will explore the cross section of British experiences leading up to the General Election. The production will run at The Latchmere, 503 Battersea Park Road, London SW11 3BW from today 5th May - Saturday 9th May 2015, 7:45pm.

Marci and Chrissy, two political advisors, struggle to balance the personal and political. Aziz throws an election night party at his chicken shop. Pavel and his mum prepare to have their moment in the spotlight. Gina and Lewis meet in the houses of parliament to make their voices heard, whilst Abha, a politicised young voter, comes of age and a party of his friends gather in the local pub to celebrate their right to vote.

But when the dust settles what will this Election night hold for them and how will their communities deal with the outcome of their votes?

These pieces are being written and rehearsed right now to capture the feeling of the nation prior to 7th May 2015. The immediacy of these pieces exemplifies the relevance of writing that Theatre503 has come to be known for.

EleXion will follow on from the success of previous festivals of short new plays, Thatcherwrite and Decade.

EleXion runs today 5th May - Saturday 9th May 2015 at Theatre503, The Latchmere, 503 Battersea Park Road, London SW11 3BW. For more information, visit theatre503.com. Tickets available priced £12 (£10 concessions) from Theatre503 Box Office, by calling 020 7978 7040 or online.
