The Wyvern Sets DISCO NIGHT for January 20

A brand-new theatrical sing-a-long event heads to the Wyvern in January, with a full-live band playing 70s disco music fronted by ex-boy band star and co-hosted by a 70s radio icon.

Audiences sing-along, with former A1 member Paul Marazzi, to an array of hits everyone remembers from the 70s including classics such as YMCA, You Should Be Dancing, More Than a Woman, Night Fever, I Will Survive and Love Train.

Lyrics are displayed in huge letters behind the band and songs are linked by iconic 70s DJ Tony Blackburn, whose script was written by Viz founder Chris Donald.

Audiences are encourage to arrive in 70s costumes so don those afro wigs, jump suits and silver platform boots and head to the Wyvern Theatre on Sunday 20 January.

"There's something about these songs that makes you feel good," says producer Steve Dolder. "It brings back a happier time before everyone was worrying about global warming, bent bankers or Boris Johnson; you might not be able to recall the name of the group or artist but within a few bars you're transported back to a disco from your youth."
