Swindon Dance Presents JUNGI by Sonia Sabri Company, March 14
Swindon Dance in partnership with South Asian Performing Arts Centre presents 'Jugni' by Sonia Sabri Company Friday 14th March at 7.45pm at Swindon Dance.
Jungi, meaning female fire fly is poetic, dramatic and soul stirring, capturing the spirit and stories of real women.
Sonia Sabri is a critically acclaimed dancer, choreographer and artistic director famous for presenting Kathak dance in bold new ways. The performance will combine dance with live vocals and percussion inspired by Qawaali and contemporary choreography mixed with folkloric dance styles.

There will also be a Performance Opportunity with Sonia Sabri Company for female dancers aged 11-19. Join Artistic Director, Sonia Sabri for a special (intensive) and exciting weekend on Feb 22 & 23 to create a performance piece that will combine Kathak and contemporary dance forms to create a fresh dance piece which will performed at the start of 'Jugni' performance.
