Sh!t-faced Showtime Presents OLIVER WITH A TWIST Image

Throughout 2019 Sh!t-faced shows dominate the Leicester Square theatre programme, and to kick off proceedings Sh!t-faced Shakespeare's musical sibling Sh!t-faced Showtime returns with their Edinburgh sell-out hit Oliver with a Twist.

Will you see an arseholed-Dodger, a fuddled Fagin or even an out-of-it Oliver? Each night a different actor will get drunk before the show, when they'll attempt to perform an hour long version of Oliver! complete with choreography and harmonies, whilst their poor fellow actors have to deal with whatever's thrown at them (occasionally literally).

Sh!t-faced Showtime is the all-singing, all-dancing, all-drinking phenomenon from the professional piss-heads behind Sh!t-faced Shakespeare. Featuring a cast of professionally trained musical theatre performers, classic show tunes, complex choreography and one entirely Sh!t-faced actor every night ... What could possibly go right?

So how does it work? Well each performance has a cast of actors, who all arrive 4 hours before the start of the show for a 'party' however this party is dry for all but one performer, who gets Sh!t-faced. The rest is a balancing act between the songs as they appear in the sheet music and the improv rules, which state you must go with WHATEVER the drunk actor decides to do. Every single show is a one-off. Every single performance has a different drunk actor. Every single time they are genuinely inebriated.

Formed in 2010, Magnificent Bastard Productions were just friends who loved creating unexpected and unpredictable theatre at music festivals such as Secret Garden Party. Sh!t-faced now performs across the UK, USA and Australia. They sell-out at the Edinburgh and Brighton Fringes annually, and in 2015 expanded into Sh!t-faced Showtime.

Producer and performer Issy said After a smashing sell-out Edinburgh 2018, Magnificent Bastard Productions are proud to be back on the rampage in lummy London with fresh reprobates ripe (strawberries, ripe) for the picking, we can't wait to get our drunken mitts on this cockney classic again.
