SAPPHO...IN 9 FRAGMENTS Extends Sold Out Run, Feb 3

Second Skin Theatre's production of Sappho... in 9 fragments by Jane Montgomery Griffiths has garnered unprecedented success with a sold-out run at the White Rabbit Theatre, which has been extended for an extra week to accommodate an overwhelming request for tickets.
Entombed in a secluded cavern, Ancient Greece's first love poet weaves a tale of Sapphic proportions, lamenting the disintegration of her work and positioning herself as the subject of affection in a modern-day backstage romance with a chorus girl named Atthis. But her memories are fragmented, and while she strives to realise the heights of passion, she finds that the sublime might be just beyond her reach...
Sappho... in 9 fragments plays at the White Rabbit Theatre, 125 Stoke Newington Church Street, N16 0UL until the 3rd February, 2013. Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday at 7:30pm (Saturday at 2:30pm). For tickets, please visit: sappho.eventbrite.co.uk.
