Red Cape Black Cape to Present LIONS + TIGERS + BEARS
By: Ashlee Latimer
Red Cape Black Cape return to Theatre N16 - where last time they presented a double bill of a Tarantino-esque Winnie the Pooh and a bureaucratic take on Dante's Inferno, they now delight with a frenzy of f*cked up fairytales... don't say you weren't warned!
***** "This outrageously horrific appropriation of one of my fondest childhood memories made me laugh until I couldn't breathe and then in an instant had me biting my fingernails and clutching my seat in a tense ball of nerves" Broadway Baby The children of Time + Space are being hunted. Terrorized by a dark and enigmatic figure. A monster feeding on blood, bones, and Fear itself... LIONS + TIGERS + BEARS features 5 actors conjuring up more than 40 characters throughout the ages and across dimensions, including a Victorian schoolgirl, a really sh*t zookeeper, a lobotomist, Myra Hindley, a robotic nurse, a chorus line, Adolf Hitler, vampires, a computer virus, and a tree. It's delightfully deranged, slightly unwholesome, totally questionable family entertainment that's completely unsuitable for children. DISCLAIMER: Contains suggestive themes, and language that may cause offense. Not recommended for those with a faint disposition / without a sense of humour / the dead inside.
