Prime Theatre to Host Audition Masterclass This Month

Prime Theatre are running a masterclass in Auditions taking place on Saturday 28 January led by professional director, practitioner and writer, Marnie Forbes-Eldridge.

This masterclass will allow young people aged 14+ to unlock their full potential and shine in an audition room by exploring character and context of speeches in this focused masterclass. The workshop would be brilliant for those currently studying drama in school or wanting to audition for further training at a drama school.

Prime Theatre also runs Prime Youth Theatre, teaching core drama and theatrical skills to young people aged 5 - 25. Members of Prime Youth Theatre attend weekly workshops and are also offered the opportunity to take part in scriptwriting, technical theatre and one-off masterclasses.

Carli Green, Prime Youth Theatre member said, "This masterclass is a great chance for those who aren't involved with Prime Theatre or those wanting to go into theatre to give it a go. I don't think I could go anywhere else for acting, design, scriptwriting and technical theatre all under one banner."

Prime Theatre is Swindon's only professional theatre company and receives core funding from Arts Council England and Swindon Borough Council. The company creates touring productions for audiences aged 12 months and up. Prime Theatre also run Prime Youth Theatre for young actors, writers and technicians aged 5-25 years.
