Photo Flash: First Look at Rafael and Alan in CIRQUE BERSERK

CIRQUE BERSERK has just opened their new show INFERNO in their 1700 seater Big Top (the UKs biggest tent) in WINTERWONDERLAND in Hyde Park and stealing the show with their first performance in the circus ring is RAFAEL AND ALAN! The amazing act RAFAEL AND ALAN illustrates all that diversity and power stands for - literally.....this is a unique act bringing audiences to their feet in such a positive way.

RAFAEL FERRERIA was born with a congenital condition arthorgryposis which rendered his legs useless. He uses a wheelchair - which he has to use to get into the ring, and then does a completely mind blowingly amazing hand to hand balancing act with his circus partner Alan, the strength and skill is amazing. See below - and link to many more images for you to use. RAFAEL refuses to let his physical limitations hold him back when it comes to acrobatics. Their unique act instantly sears itself into the memory, from initial gasps the audience jump to their feet giving them a standing ovation at then end of each show and with 3 x INFERNO shows a day that's a lot of people spontaneously jumping to their feet! The guys come from Brazil and have worked on this act for 4 years to perfect it!

Their performance flips diversity on its head as, this highly original act has the strong man (Alan) playing a Shakespearean Caliban character, and Rafael sets him free from his iron mask and cage and as their hands/friendship grows Rafael leaves his wheelchair and is free too.
