Duke Street Theatre, a brand new studio theatre space developed from a disused warehouse is set to open in High Wycombe on the 5th November with a production of Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty's Lucky Stiff by Renegade Theatre Company.

The development will be a home for Renegade Theatre Company as well as providing an affordable venue for other community and professional arts groups, which will enhance the creative and cultural opportunities in the area.

Renegade Theatre Company was set up by six theatre professionals: Chloé James, Samuel Parker, Toby Darvill, Anna and Julia Saunders and Jerome van den Berghe all of whom had previous experience working within community and youth theatre in High Wycombe.

The theatre has so far been self-funded, however they have had a huge amount of support from the local community with many companies providing goods and services either at a highly reduced rate or for free. Chloé James from the company said "The amount of support we've had from the community had been incredible. We didn't ever expect the response we got."

The group would in particular like to thank: Plumbing - Select Heating; Architect - Suzie Bridges Architects; Paint - Mark Hartley at Dulux Decorator Centre; Legal Advice - Bari Malik; Solicitor - Bruce Sinclair,; Electrical Labour - Jon Nichols and Joe Groom; Electrics Supply - Grant and Stone Electrical; Skip Hire - Mini Skips Maidenhead; Van Hire - Thrifty; Scaffolding/Set - Tim at Scenery Salvage.

Lucky Stiff is performed on 5th-8th November and tickets are available from www.RenegadeTheatreCompany.com/tickets or on the box office number 07817407339
