Music Fans Set To Enjoy An Evening Of Guitar Greats at Parr Hall A musician who is admired around the world for his versatile style is heading to town next week with a whirlwind of a show.

Australian guitarist Tommy Emmanuel will be calling in at Parr Hall next Friday (18 May) to whisk Warrington fans off on a musical round-the-world trip.

The two-time Grammy nominee is currently travelling the world with The Intimate Sound Tour, delighting fans across the UK, USA and Australia with an impressive programme of music.

Tommy is recognised right across the world for his unique ability to master a wide range of genres from pop, jazz and blues, to classical, flamenco and aboriginal styles.

Influenced by guitar greats Merle Travis and Chet Atkins, Tommy's fingerpicking technique is truly second to none as he effortlessly manages to imitate the sound of an entire band - covering drums, bass, rhythm, lead guitar and vocal melody simultaneously, resulting in a truly remarkable effect.

After being made a Member of the Order of Australia in 2010, Tommy's reputation as a leading guitarist never fails to precede him, as he sells out auditoriums right across the world.

Now, Tommy is set to entertain fans right here in Warrington as The Intimate Sound Tour takes centre stage at Parr Hall on Friday 18 May.

Plus, Tommy is also set to welcome to the stage special guest Frank Vignola. Internationally renowned, the American jazz guitarist is recognised as being one of the industry's most celebrated guitarists, and has collaborated with legendary musicians such as Ringo Starr and Madonna.

With two of the world's leading guitarists topping the bill, The Intimate Sound Tour is set to be a unique opportunity for music lovers to experience a wide range of genres performed at their very best.
