Mental Health Love Story Plays As Part Of Feminist Theatre Festival At The King's Head Before A Full Run At The Old Red Lion Image

Rob stands on the edge of oblivion just as the chaotic Ellie careers into his life. They desperately need each other but is Ellie, who's struggling with her own Borderline Personality Disorder, really the best person to try and help? Sometimes you can only save one person. And it's okay if that person is you. This touching, funny story explores a relationship born in the throes of a mental health crisis as a couple struggles to find their place in the world.

This new play by Felicity Huxley-Miners in a co-production by Quantum Frolic Theatre and Instinct Theatre, and has been selected for the Who Runs the World? season celebrating female playwrights at The King's Head Theatre, after which it will transfer to the Old Red Lion for a three week run.

Felicity's first full length play Tea and Good Intentions was on at The King's Head and Canal Café Theatres and is now planning a national tour. Her work has also been performed at The Pleasance, Southwark Playhouse and The Bread & Roses Theatres. She is member of Soho Theatre Writer's Lab 2017 and Artistic Director of Instinct Theatre. She trained at Italia Conti, the BRIT School and with the National Youth Theatre. She was nominated for a Sunday Times and National Theatre Ian Charleson Award this year for classical stage acting by an actor under 30.

Co-star David Shears has recently appeared in the short film The Last Cry, which premiered at the Genesis Cinema. He has performed at the Southwark Playhouse, Old Red Lion, Tristan Bates Theatre, The London Theatre and as part of the Cambridge Shakespeare Festival 2016. He is also an active voice actor whose credits include FIFA, Toyota, Sunderland University, TEVA, Michelin, Johnny Walker, Chopard, Dreamworks, Fitbit and Samsung.

Director Richard Elson's credentials span theatre, film and TV. He recently directed the critically acclaimed prison drama 'Held' at Tristan Bates theatre, past credits include Walking (Winner, Windsor Fringe), A Royal Mess (Arts Theatre Leicester Square), Dog City (Lost Theatre), Bound (Tristan Bates), Walk On and Brought to Mind (Bread and Roses Theatre), Home Truth and Man of Straw (The Windsor Fringe).
