Lyric Lounge Meets SoundBites Held At The Lyric Studio

Four of Britain's most exciting young writers collaborate with up-and-coming directors and musicians to create a series of brand new short plays for Lyric Lounge Meets SoundBites.

Playwrights including Lyric Writer-in-Residence Ella Hickson (Decade, Headlong) and Olivier Award winner Bola Agbaje (Gone Too Far!, Royal Court) will collaborate with talented new artists to create performances that merge music and theatre in innovative ways. Live music will be integrated into each play, with the songs acting as a source of inspiration around which the writers will craft their plays.

SoundBites is teaming up with Lyric Lounge to attract a more diverse crowd by creating an event that explores the territory between a gig and a piece of theatre. After the performance of the plays, September's Lyric Lounge each of the featured musicians will perform a set in the Studio.
