For the second year running Harry Shearer and Judith Owen are back at the Southbank Centre this December with their hugely popular Holiday Sing-Along. The Simpson's and Spinal Tap star has teamed up with his wife the acclaimed singer fresh from her West End run of Losing It to host an evening of guests, seasonal cheer and irreverent fun.
On December 4th Judith Owen and Harry Shearer's Holiday Sing-Along will transform The Purcell Room into a good old-fashioned Christmas knees up with a list of guests that is enough to get any lord aleaping. They include the comic force of Ruby Wax, the acclaimed singer Lucinda Belle, the acoustic bass legend Danny Thompson, eclectic singer, songwriter and keyboardist Charlie Wood, the vocal talents of Julia Fordham, award winning cellist Gabriella Swallow, one of the most admired and widely performed composers of his generation Mark-Anthony Turnage and of course Barry from Watford aka the superlative Alex Lowe. Together they promise to gently roast some seasonal chestnuts, pull a few crackers and unwrap a rare gift or two.NOMAF MISSION The mission of the New Orleans Musicians Assistance Foundation is to keep music alive by sustaining New Orleans musicians and tradition bearers in body, mind and spirit. We do this through providing access to health and social services through the New Orleans Musicians' Clinic, regardless of musicians' ability to pay, and by fostering cultural opportunities that advocate for and support this effort.
