After a sell out night at The Phoenix Artist Club back in February, John Kristian and a host of West End professionals will come together to perform in "Songs from the Playground", a showcase at the Union Theatre on June 22nd.

Tom Senior (Jersey Boys, HMS PINAFORE),
Catherine Digges (Mamma Mia, Les Miserables) are just some of the names performing in the showcase, which features fully staged and choreographed selections from; Kristian's new musical 'The Homefront', his first musical 'VOW', concept musicals of 'The Notebook' and 'The Holiday', and his revue show 'Hidden Talents'.
He says: "This showcase is a chance for people to come and see new material that has never been performed before, by an astonishing cast of performers, who have given up their time to support new British musical theatre."
Kristian continues: "I'm inspired by people, inspired by everyday things - people on the bus, in the street, or in cafes and bars, just inspired by London and facets of London that we don't normally see. At my lowest point I spent some time on the streets and the people I met inspired me, and also frightened me, a lot. Through the long interviews, homeless men and women began to open up and tell their stories to me and The Homefront was born."
