Grand Theatre Announces Golf Day Fundraising Event
Wolverhampton Grand Theatre is to hold its first Golf Day in July to raise vital funds to support its charitable work.
The Golf Day is taking place at Wergs Golf Club on 5 July, sponsored by PIA Wealth Management.
The funds raised will enable the Grand to reach more people through the magic of theatre by providing services and activities for the local community.
A variety of packages are available for teams and individuals, which include 18 holes of golf, a two-course dinner with guest speaker, as well as sponsorship opportunities. A raffle and auction will also be held.
The Grand Theatre engages with schools, community groups and health & social care groups, as well as other charities to offer theatre-inspired workshops and projects.
Key charitable activities also include a special 'relaxed' performance of the pantomime which is adapted for an audience of mainly young people with disabilities.
John Harrison, Fundraising Manager at the Grand Theatre, said: "We believe that theatre can have a positive and transformative effect on people's lives and our mission is to improve the local community by putting education, creativity and a passion for the arts at its heart.
"The inaugural Golf Day will not only support this important service, but also provide an opportunity to make business connections and build brand awareness at a relaxed and fun event. We hope that you can join us."
Richard Bourne, Business Development & Marketing Manager at PIA Wealth Management, said: "We are proud to sponsor the Grand Theatre's Golf Day. The Grand is known in the city for its shows and live entertainment, but many people aren't aware of the fantastic work it does in the community or its status as a charity. We urge all local businesses to enter a team and help to support the Grand."
