Following a hugely successful sell-out Scottish Tour and ahead of his annual attendance at EdFringe (this will be his 29th), Fred has nipped over Hadrian's Wall and is making his way to London's Soho Theatre in May with a stand up show neatly tailored for 2017.

Are you worried about the future after Brexit? How do you plan to celebrate the triggering of Article 50. And speaking of 'triggering' could Trump really kick off the war that'll not only end all wars, but the whole freaking planet!

Every comedian worth his salt has Trump material but Fred is probably the only comic who has suffered PERSONALLY as a result of his election. Turnberry Golf Course is one of his favourite courses, but as a personal protest against Trump's blatant racism and misogyny he's decreed never to play the course again whilst it's under his stewardship. It's this kind of gesture that will hopefully make Trump think again.....

And then there's the small matter of Brexit.....

Fred might not have the answers to political questions (or else he would have been on Question Time) but one thing is for sure, after nearly 30 years on stage, he'll have a bloody good laugh about it all. And so will you.

Having presented BBC Radio Scotland's flagship programme, MacAulay and Co. for almost eighteen years and with a string of TV appearances, Fred's on air witticisms and on screen reputation are the product of years of experience on the live circuit, including a stint as the first ever-Scottish compere at the Comedy Store in London.

Having arrived late to the world of stand-up comedy in the early 90's, Fred has become a regular favourite at Edinburgh Fringe and at comedy festivals worldwide.

He has appeared on TV favourites such as Mock the Week, QI and Have I Got News For You and is a regular guest on many of Radio 4's best-loved comedy panel shows including I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue, Just A Minute, The Unbelievable Truth and The News Quiz. He even lasted 7 out of 11 nights when he sang on Comic Relief Does Fame Academy.
