The Finborough Theatre in London will present a series of 30 productions for its 30 year anniversary. The season, entitled "30 Premieres for 30 Years," will feature a host of new plays from both UK and international authors.

The spring season will feature THE NOTEBOOK OF TRIGORIN by Tennessee Williams, Williams' adaptation of Chekhov's THE SEAGULL, as well as Chekhov's THREE SEAGULLS, staged readings performed each Saturday from April 10th to the 24th. The spring season will also include THE NORTHERNERS by Harold Brighouse in it's first London production. The spring season runs March 30th through April 24th.

The season will continue with several South African plays by a number of acclaimed authors. The season will begin with DREAM OF THE DOG by Craig Higginson, featuring Janet Suzman in the lead role and NAGGING DOUBT by Jack Klaff. The season will run April 27th to May 22nd.

The spring season will conclude with "Vibrant 2010 - An Anniversary Festival of Finborough Playwrights." Authors for the festival will include Bekah Brunstetter, Chris Dunkley, James Graham, Brian Logan, and Naomi Wallace. The headlining play of the festival will be Graham's THE MAN, featuring a different actor each night telling a host of stories in an audience-selected order.

Artisitic director Neil McPherson spoke about "Vibrant" with WhatsOnStage.com: "I thought it would be a bit dull and obvious to just revive all our old successes from the last 30 years like Shopping and f-ing, and we wanted to find a way to look forward while also acknowledging where we have come from, so we're asking the many playwrights who started their careers at the Finborough to return with a brand new play."

The multi-award-winning Finborough Theatre, celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2010 is led by Artistic Director Neil McPherson and presents both text-based and music theatre, concentrated exclusively on new writing and rediscoveries of neglected work from the 19th and 20th centuries, many produced or co-produced in-house.

Behind the scenes, we continue to discover and develop a new generation of theatre makers - through our vibrant Literary Department, our hugely successful internship programme, our Resident Assistant Director Programme, and our partnership with the National Theatre Studio - the Leverhulme Bursary for Emerging Directors.
