Conjugal Rites To Get 5-Week London Season
Conjugal Rites, by Roger Hall, the marital comedy that inspired the hit ITV comedy series, is to get a 5-week London season at the Courtyard Theatre from Tuesday 31st May - Sunday 3rd July.
Press night is Thursday June 2 at 7.30pm
What happens after 21 years of marriage? Will He ever learn to put the toilet seat down? Will She ever give-up asking?
Barry, a dentist and his wife Gen, a recently qualified family lawyer, awake on their 21st wedding anniversary to the reality of their lives: aging parents, teenage children, sagging bodies, job disillusionment and the secrets and temptations that come from tying the knot.
Set entirely in their bedroom throughout the play, Conjugal Rites is a hilarious and sometimes bittersweet comedy.
Cast: Alexandra Boyd (Coronation Street, Mr Holland's Opus, From Paris With Love) and Gary Heron (The Duck Variations, Black Chiffon, Shepperton Road)
Director:?Andrew Keates (Bent, Just So), Lighting Designer:?Howard Hudson received the 2011 Off West End Award for Best Lighting Design for Tomorrow Morning at the Landor and Me and Juliet at the Finborough.
