Amused Moose Comedy's National New Comic Award 2017: Heat 8, Plus Marcel Lucont and Ian Smith
On 19 March, you can vote for twelve exciting new comedians - Sam Sheldon, Peter Flanagan, Jonny Gillam, Jack Gleadon, Adam Bromley, Patrick McCabe, Alex Oliver, Will Robbins, Steve McCann, Sam Whyte, Josh Trebilcock and Reuben Christian - onstage at Kings X's iconic WaterRats music/comedy venue, which launched Oasis in London and Bob Dylan in the UK.
They have already won through from the qualifying rounds so you're in for some fun at the coolest comedy night in town, hosted by "wonderfully inventive and creative" awardwinning Moose-favourite Ian Smith.
Ian introduces Amused Moose Comedy Awards winner Marcel Lucont plus the 12 contenders who having already won through from the qualifying rounds, need your votes to get into the semifinals, and then on their way to the Edinburgh Fringe in August where finalists battle for fame, fortune and a shiny moose trophy (previously won by Jack Whitehall and Sarah Millican, with finalists including Josh Widdicombe, Romesh Ranganathan, Jimmy Carr and Greg Davies).
Amused Moose's multi-awardwinning and TimeOut Recommended comedy nights feature the very best stand-ups on the comedy circuit, television and festivals worldwide, as well as brilliant handpicked breaking talent.
Delight not only in tonight's mirthmakers, but comedy-goers are very welcome to enjoy this atmospheric historic venue any time from 5.30pm to socialise and mingle before the show, during the interval and aftershow until midnight.
To make the most of your night out, maybe have a pre-show meal which will be even tastier because of the 20% comedy-goers discount on food ordered before 7pm. There is an extensive bar with real ale, and air conditioning.
Showtime: 7.45pm; the comedy room opens at 7.15pm.
