Omega Ensemble: A Trio of Trios & One Quartet RAVEL IMPRESSIONS

The Omega Ensemble is a Sydney based chamber group led by their charismatic young Artistic Directors, Maria Raspopova (piano) and David Rowden (clarinet).

The ensemble formed 13 years ago and has a solid reputation and a dedicated, growing audience for their spirited and intelligent presentations of the chamber repertoire and their performances of new Australian works.

On Thursday November 16th at City Recital Hall, Omega Ensemble presents:

Ravel String Quartet in F major | Fauré Piano Trio in D minor
Arensky Piano Trio No. 1 in D minor | Mozart Trio in E flat major

The players will explore the intricate shadings of these four strong works in a performance ranging from playful and delicate to daring and robust.

Maria and David have brought together a hand-picked group of musical colleagues especially for these 4 pieces. This is a group of players whose passion and respect for the music will shine through in their performance. The space and clarity found in smaller ensemble works is a perfect platform for soaring musicianship - individually and as a team.
