Melissa Tkautz Joins the Cast of SLEEPING BEAUTY: A KNIGHT AVENGER'S TALE
Director and Producer, Bonnie Lythgoe is thrilled she now has the perfect cast announcing, MELISSA TKAUTZ will play the 'Good Fairy' in SLEEPING BEAUTY - "A KNIGHT AVENGER'S TALE" when it opens at Melbourne's Comedy Theatre on 29 June playing to 8 July and then to Sydney from 13 to 22 July 2018.
When revealing her final performer Bonnie said, "I was looking for the ideal 'Good Fairy' to play against Rhonda Burchmore as the 'Wicked Fairy' and am thrilled with Melissa who is just so gorgeous, has a wonderful voice and great acting skills. I now have two fabulous, strong women who can play off each other."
Australian actress, singer, model, presenter & Real Housewife of Sydney star Melissa, will join relative newcomer and WAAPA graduate EMBLA BISHOP as 'Sleeping Beauty' and DANIEL MILNE as 'Prince Valiant' with Rhonda Burchmore as the wicked fairy 'Carabosse'. Taking the role of 'Sleeping Beauty's father will be English actor FRAZER HINES best known as the Doctor's assistant in Doctor Who and Australia's favourite funny man KEV ORKIAN as 'Silly Billy'.
SLEEPING BEAUTY tells the story of Princess Aurora, who by a single prick of her finger is put to sleep for 100 years. Doomed by fate, only a Prince's sweet kiss can break the spell and awaken the sleeping beauty. Featuring dazzling costumes, stunning sets, magic, special effects, hilarious comedy, thrilling musical numbers this latest fairy tale promises to be fun for all ages from 3 to 103.
