HOPE Plays Seymour Centre Wednesday 14 August

By:

Borderline Public Offence is back with more glitter, sequins and body paint than ever before presenting its new production Hope proudly supporting Twenty10. Hope is a one night only 2 hour variety performance, with a cast of 14, a 13 piece orchestra and a bucket of fabulous, Ned Barnfield and the Offenders will be delivering an evening of comedy and original musical arrangements featuring works by the likes of Tina Turner and The Pointer Sisters.

The production has all the hallmarks of a great performance: talented musicians, delectable half-dressed humans, sequins and a Tina Turner number. All the profits from the performance proudly support Twenty10, a gay youth organisation for persons under 26 which helps them with counseling, drop-in services and general welfare.

"I have seen many of my friends be torn apart struggle with their sexuality. I wasn't able help them directly because it's a personal journey, but what I can do is raise funds and awareness for an organization that provides those in case they do want to access them," said Ned Barnfield.

Ned Barnfield formed Borderline Public Offence in 2012, a group committed to providing educational and performance opportunities to the community, focussing on fringe performance practice such as drag and burlesque. Their first performance was a sell-out, with 400 people sitting down to an evening of variety performance at the UNSW Roundhouse last October. Barnfield and 28 other bright young things are working tirelessly to bring Sydney a night of entertainment like no other. With more sequins and body paint than oxygen, this performance is not to be missed.
