Following the international release of his debut album El Amor, Daniel Alejandro is returning to his hometown Bondi for an intimate one-night- only concert performance Songs of Rhythm & Romance on Tuesday 17 October at Bondi Pavilion.

The Venezuelan born Latin-Australian singer will conjure a magical evening of romantic ballads, Spanish classics and contemporary pop songs with lush and dynamic arrangements by musical director Daryl Wallis.

Fusing classical and pop with a spiritual sensitivity, Alejandro's unique blend of music will be accompanied by a live band, dancers and guest Ukrainian soprano Alya Meyer. Fans of iconic Spanish singer songwriter Jose Luis Perales will be treated with five re-workings of his most memorable music.

Alejandro trained in Classical Opera with Steve Ostrow, the singing teacher who famously discovered Bette Midler, Peter Allan and Barry Manilow. For the past decade, Alejandro has travelled the world performing in concerts, operas and musicals. Highlights include Rio de Janeiro Carnival, Dead Man Walking the Opera, and Australian Idol 2009.

Songs of Rhythm & Romance showcases Alejandro's remarkable voice and his passionate interpretation of life's journey from love to separation and the yearning for spiritual connection.
