It's been a long six years since the Canadian electro-funk pair visited Australia. With the duo set to appear at the upcoming Splendour In The Grass, Frontier Touring is thrilled to confirm that Chromeo will also be playing two long-overdue gigs in Melbourne and Sydney.
Having just kicked off their extensive world tour in support of fifth record Head Over Heels with a packed show at Coachella, the Montreal natives will be touching down in Australia in July to keep the party going. They'll perform headline shows at Melbourne's Max Watt's on Saturday 21 July and Sydney's Metro Theatre on Sunday 22 July. Set to be released in June (Warner Music), Head Over Heels is Chromeo's most collaborative effort to date, with guest appearances from a slew of artists that bridge generations and genres. Grammy nominated rapper DRAM and guitarist Jesse Johnson (Prince, The Time) stand out on most recent single 'Must've Been', which followed 'Juice', praised by The Guardian as 'a jaunty, electro-funk mega-banger', and 'Bedroom Calling', which features The-Dream and was described by Billboard as 'quite honestly one of the best Chromeo songs we've heard in years'.
