Warren Fahey returns to Sydney Festival to bring a retrospective to both intrigue and bemuse. To celebrate Sydney Festival's ruby anniversary, long-time historian, performer and orator Fahey takes his contemporaries through a nostalgic journey through Australia's history and Sydney Festival's place in it.

To emphasise Fahey's larrikin nature, he is accompanied by Mic Conway's Junk Band, playing any number of things to apply bold humour to some of the nation's historic highlight reel. Offering songbird chops to the delivery is the very funny and talented vaudeville performer Christa Hughes. Hughes' La Traviata and Grace Jones impression are the certain highlights both comedically and musically.

Anyone seeking an informative and appetising history lesson is well advised to check out this very organic, spontaneous piece of stage craft. Tongue-in-cheek and a firm nod to more traditional Australian humour, performance styles and content, take your chance to see it before it closes tomorrow.

Parents take your kids to give them a little insight to the way things used to be. Kids take your parents so they can get a good laugh.
