By:

The hottest tickets in St. Louis have been at STAGES ST. LOUIS this summer. Now STAGES turns up the heat with its annual cabaret benefit. Tonight, August 12, 2013 STAGES ST. LOUIS hosts Legally HOT!, a one-night-only cabaret event benefiting the organization's Education and Artistic Programs. Legally HOT! will feature STAGES' fan favorites Ben Nordstrom and Zoe Vonder Haar, plus cast members from the current production, Legally Blonde, The Musical including Brandon Davidson (Warner Huntington III), Heather Jane Rolf (Paulette), Joe Grandy (Lowell/Carlos) and more.

Conceived and directed by STAGES Associate Artistic Director Steven Bourneuf, Legally HOT! will feature sassy and sultry songs from Broadway and pop music as the performers let off a little steam and beat the summer heat. Attendees can expect hit tunes like "Too Darn Hot" (KISS ME KATE), "Summer Nights" (GREASE), "Burnin' Love" (ALL SHOOK UP), as well as some fun surprises. A Live Auction hosted by STAGES stars David Schmittou and Kari Ely will take place during intermission. Additionally, TeamSTAGES, the premier pre-professional a cappella troupe, will delight the audience during the event with a short set of songs.

Ben Nordstrom received Kevin Kline Awards for Lead Actor in a Musical for the 2010 STAGES ST. LOUIS production of Promises, Promises and 2005 STAGES ST. LOUIS production of Footloose. Zoe Vonder Haar has appeared in over 60 productions at STAGES including her Kevin Kline Award-winning leading role performance in Hello, Dolly!
