The Sheldon and the St. Louis Blues Society present Carolyn Wonderland, with opening act Silvercloud featuring Ron Edwards, Friday, October 29 at 8 p.m. in the perfect acoustics of the Sheldon Concert Hall.

A force on the Austin , TX blues scene, Carolyn Wonderland has been called a combination of between Janis Joplin and Stevie Ray Vaughan, mixing soulful vocals and acclaimed guitar skill for legendary live concerts. Wonderland and her band will perform music from her latest album, Miss Understood, in a performance benefitting the St. Louis Blues Society Mission Fund.

A triple threat musician with guitar, singer and songwriter skills, Carolyn Wonderland has performed for many great moments in music history, including a tribute to Janis Joplin by the American Music Masters in 2009. She has shared the stage with music legend Bob Dylan, who is one of her better-known fans, and in 2008, the Austin City Limits television series invited her to record an episode. Wonderland has also received multiple awards, including Best Female Vocalist and Best Blues Band at the Austin Music Awards in 2009.
