Tumble down the rabbit hole with STAGES St. Louis this summer for its Theatre for Young Audiences production, Disney's Alice in Wonderland, June 15th - July 3rd, at The Playhouse at Westport Plaza in Maryland Heights. This whimsical journey to a land beyond imagination is a fantastic adventure the whole family can enjoy!

Walt Disney brought English author Lewis Carroll's 1865 classic literary tale Alice's Adventures in Wonderland to life in his 1951 animated film, marking the 13th animated feature in the Disney Animated Films series. In 2010, Disney's animated film enjoyed a live action re-imagining, produced by Walt Disney Pictures and directed by Tim Burton, now retold with a more mysterious tone and modernized with special effects, virtual sets, and a cast of real and digital characters. With its upcoming sequel, Alice Through the Looking Glass, set to grace theatres later this month, the stage production of Disney's Alice in Wonderland presents the perfect opportunity to reintroduce families to the original timeless tale.

Inviting and magical, the madcap world of Wonderland features such extraordinary characters as Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, the Mad Hatter, the Queen of Hearts, the frantically-late White Rabbit, and the beloved Alice. Experience the magic, fun, and excitement of a very merry tea party with Alice and her friends and discover why Alice's Adventures in Wonderland have delighted children of all ages for centuries - for imagination and dreams never age.

Alexis Kinney returns to STAGES and reprises her role of Alice, which she previously played in STAGES' 2009 production of Disney's Alice in Wonderland. Kinney also has appeared in STAGES' 2011 production of The Secret Garden and in the New York World Premiere of The Island of No Tomorrow. Regional credits include The Wizard of Oz, Annie, and The Irish Play.

Rounding out the cast in alphabetical order are Kelsey Bearman (Rose), Katie Brnjac (Violet), Ryan Cooper (Mad Hatter), Caroline Eiseman (Petunia), Austin Glen Jacobs (Tweedle Dum), Ryan Alexander Jacobs (Tweedle Dee), John Kinney (White Rabbit), Kendra Lynn Lucas (Caterpillar), Angela Sapolis (Queen of Hearts/Mathilda/Lily), and Chris Tipp (March Hare/King of Hearts).

The creative team for the production includes: Michael Hamilton (Direction and Musical Staging), Ellen Isom (Choreography), Lisa Campbell Albert (Musical Direction), Jim Sandefur (Scenic Design), Garth Dunbar (Costume Design), Jeff Behm (Lighting Design), Stuart M. Elmore (Orchestral Design).
