The NonProphet Theater Company is excited to bring you the second show of their 2010 season Cabaret by Masterson, Kander & Ebb featuring St. Louis 's own, "The Derriere Beyond Compare" Lola Van Ella as Sally Bowles! Cabaret opens Friday, July 23, 8pm at the Kranzberg Arts Center, 501 North Grand Boulevard , St. Louis , MO 63103 . The show will run until Sunday, August 1 with performances Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 5pm. Tickets are $20 for general audiences and $15 for students (must provide a valid ID) and seniors (ages 55+). They also have VIP cabaret seating available for $25.

Cabaret by Masterson, Kander & Ebb begins in a night club in Berlin, as the 1920's are drawing to a close. The Master of Ceremonies welcomes the audience to the show and assures them that, whatever their troubles, they will forget them at the Cabaret. His songs provide wry commentary throughout the show. On a train to Berlin we find Cliff, a young American writer, and Ernst, a German who surprises Cliff by putting his briefcase among Cliff's luggage at the German border. History is in the process of being made. Musical numbers include "Wilkommen", "Cabaret", "Don't Tell Mama" and "Two Ladies". When we find Cliff on the train again, he is now leaving Berlin alone. He writes about Sally and the people of Berlin leading up to the Third Reich. It has been a tumultuous and heartbreaking era. Due to adult situations, this production is intended for mature audiences.

Robert A. Mitchell directs the cast: Keith Parker as Emcee, Stephen Barnowski as Cliff, Leah Schumacher (Lola Van Ella) as Sally, Cindy Duggan as Fraulein Schneider, Sarah Porter as Fraulein Kost, Jim Hurley as Herr Schultz, Michael B. Perkins as Ernst, Jonathan Ellison, Adam Weber, and Michael Amorosa as the Kit Kat Club Boys (and various parts), and featuring Bon Bons: Rebecca McGraw (Bitsy Bittersweet), Kay Allen (Foxy LaFeelion), Elizabeth Hull (GoGo McGregor), and Laura Gustafson (Elle Adorabelle) as the Kit Kat Club Girls. Musical Direction by Seth Ward Pyatt, Choreography by Kay Allen, Props and Scenic Design by Heather Tucker and Lighting Design by Nick Uhlmansiek.
