[insert name here] Theatre Project, in association with Stray Dog Theatre) presents Speech and Debate by Stephen Karam from February 11 - February 20, 2010. Performances will take place at Tower Grove Abbey.
What do three Salem, Oregon teenagers - frumpy girl, nerdy guy, and openly-gay guy - have in common? Not much, or so it would seem on the surface, but each has fierce ulterior motives and a sex scandal that links them. These young outsiders are drawn together via the internet, using email and blogs to further their ambitions. From writing a salacious expose in the newspaper to forming a speech and debate team, they will stop at nothing to push their own agendas. This dark comedy includes hilarious musical interludes.
[insert name here] Theatre Project Artistic Director Chris Owens directs, featuring Alex Miller, Drew Pannebecker, Matthew Redmond, and Leslie Sikes.
