Bear Stage kicks off its inaugural season as the Professional Theatre Company in Residence at Lindenwood University with Pump Boys and Dinettes, a musical tribute to life by the roadside on Highway 57, April 9 - April 25 at Jelkyl Theater in Roemer Hall located off Watson Street on the Lindenwood University campus.

Somewhere between Frog Level and Smyrna, there stands a gas station. Across the blacktop is a roadside eatery called the Double Cupp Diner. The four guys at the station have been known to do some auto repairs, but only when aided by quantities of time and beer. The Cupp sisters celebrate their home cooking with the same zeal they bring to being neighborly with the boys. Pump Boys and Dinettes is part country-rock concert and part musical theatre; the sort of show that feeds off the energy and pleasure of its audience, celebrating life and love in a small, southern town.

Pump Boys and Dinettes stars Arts for Life and Kevin Kline Award Nominee John Sparger, Arts for Life Winner Courtney LaBelle, Arts for Life Nominee Mark Appelbaum, Denorah Saldaña, Kevin Hester, Rocky Rowe, Michelle Rowe, and Sallie duMaine. Directed by Kevin Kline Award Nominee Kelly Ross Kerr with Music Direction by Sallie duMaine.

Pump Boys and Dinettes runs April 9 - April 25, 2010, Thursday through Saturday evenings at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday afternoons at 2:00 p.m. at Jelkyl Theater, located in Roemer Hall off Watson Street on the Lindenwood University campus. All seating is general admission. Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for seniors, and $8 for students. Tickets are on sale now through Brown Paper Tickets - http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/103548
