Three musicians journey through the bustling chaos of Kolkata and into the paddy fields of Bangladesh. Encountering rickshaw pullers, mad fruit vendors, farmers and washerwomen, they are led into an epic adventure of sound. Part film, part live music and part travelogue, Sounds of Bengal follows sarod virtuoso Soumik Datta, tabla expert Arif Khan and vocal percussionist Jason Singh, as they go on a voyage of discovery in search of their roots and the soundscapes that define this region.
