Diamond Head Theatre (DHT) proudly presents Cabaret! The scene is a night club in the tumultuous city of Berlin, just before Hitler's rise to power. An aspiring writer named Cliff Bradshaw has traveled to Berlin in search of inspiration, when he happens upon Sally Bowles at a Cabaret called the Kit Kat Klub. She ends up moving in with him in a boarding house run by Fraulein Schneider and her suitor, Herr Schultz, a Jewish fruit-shop owner. BroadwayWorld has a first look below!
Pivot Arts launches a new celebration of innovative theater, music and dance in unique and often historic spaces from June 6 – 22, 2013 throughout Chicago's Uptown and Edgewater neighborhoods. In the quiet calm of the mid-summer night air, visitors to Historic Green-Wood Cemetery will be transported to the fictional town of Spoon River as the Green-Wood Historic Fund and 22Q Entertainment LLC present the New York City theatrical premiere of The Spoon River Project. A dramatic new adaptation of Edgar Lee Masters' 1915 poetic masterpiece, 'The Spoon River Anthology,' The Spoon River Project will be performed from June 15 - 26, 2011 under the moonlight and lit by torches and lanterns. Theatre-goers will travel on Green-Wood's trolley deep into the heart of the Cemetery to the site of the production.
