Headlining the Spencer Theater Summer Season 2017 is the classic country praise music of The Blackwood Quartet and the legendary Larry Gatlin of The Gatlin Brothers on Saturday, May 27 at 8 p.m. (Concert tickets are $39-$69). This promises to be a night of pure western-styled gospel beauty with the Blackwood's favorite Christian melodies like How Great Thou Art, Put Your Hand In The Hand, The Light House, Amazing Grace, Peace In The Valley, and many other gospel classics. Western great Larry Gatlin (pictured above), the eldest of the three Gatlin Brothers and writer of all their greatest hits including All The Gold In California and Houston, holds some of the most prestigious awards in the industry. His showcase of gospel and Gatlin favorites will open the second set of music that night, following The Blackwood Quartet (pictured left). The duo of headliners will then come together in our stage lights for an extended encore of songs. This special evening is being sponsored in-part by Lynn & Bruce Morgan and Sandra & David Barrett.

Bang on a Can celebrates summer 2017, and continues its 30th anniversary landmark season, by showcasing the breadth of its adventurous curatorial vision with concerts June-September at three visual art institutions -The Noguchi Museum and the Jewish Museum in New York City, and the Bang on a Can Summer Music Festival at MASS MoCA in North Adams, MA - plus a performance by the Bang on a Can All-Stars at the Lincoln Center Festival.

San Francisco Ballet, long recognized for pushing boundaries in dance, has announced its 2017-18 Season program and schedule. This summer, SF Ballet will return to Festival Napa Valley for one performance only on Friday, July 21, 2017, accompanied by members of the SF Ballet Orchestra. In each of its seasons "PREformances with Allison Charney" turns the spotlight on the virtuosity of the concert series' extraordinarily talented collaborative pianist, Craig Ketter. When he assumes center stage onMarch 13th Mr. Ketter will take the opportunity to play the infrequently performed music of 20th century composer, pianist and conductor Viktor Ullmann. Over the past decade pianist Craig Ketter has collaborated with colleagues in "The Ullmann Project," bringing the music Viktor Ullmann and a lost generation of musicians stifled by the Nazi regime to a broader audience. As with all PREformances' special guests, Mr. Ketter's performance anticipates a special, future engagement - in this case, a recording project of the complete piano sonatas of Viktor Ullmann.
