As the second and final leg of the ongoing series, again curated by noted film scholar Kyoko Hirano, A Tribute to Donald Richie (1924-2013), Part 2: Richie's Electric Eight: The Bold & the Daring encompasses eight films that reflect the complexity, nuance, and brilliance of Japanese society, as seen through Richie's unflinching and insatiable eye.

UW World Series to Feature Works from Israel, Mali, Ukraine & More in 2014-15 Season

The UW World Series brings Seattle audiences some of the most exciting artists and companies from around the globe. The tradition continues into the 2014-15 season with a stellar line-up of living masters and emerging talents curated by Artistic Director Michelle Witt in her third year of programming the Series. 23 artists and companies from over 21 countries will be represented, including Israel, Mali, Ukraine, Great Britain, Spain, France, Canada, Russia, Hungary, the USA, and the eleven countries that make up the Nile basin.

Kron will sign discuss and read from her play In the Wake (published by Theatre Communications Group) on Monday, March 24th at 7:00 at Barnes and Noble at 150 East 86th Street. Joining Ms. Kron will be Jayne Houdyshell, who was nominated for a Tony Award for her role in Kron's Tony nominated play Well.

It will be available for press viewing from Wednesday, May 14 at 7:30pm.
