Guthrie Director Joe Dowling today announced 14 plays of the Theater's 2011-2012 season. The diversity of productions showcases the full potential of the three-theater complex, offering a balance of the classic and the modern, both in comedies and tragedies, as the Guthrie prepares to celebrate its fifth anniversary in its Mississippi Riverfront building.

According to Ew.com, Broadway veterans Alfred Molina, Terrence Howard, and Corey Stoll will star in 'Law & Order: Los Angeles' when the show returns to television on April 11. THe show is broadcast on Monadys at 9PM on NBC.

As BroadwayWorld speculated last month, Tony Award winner Jason Robert Brown (Parade, 13, The Last Five Years, Songs for a New World) will be joined by Tony Award-winning stage and screen star Anika Noni Rose (Dreamgirls) and The Caucasian Rhythm Kings for a special three-night concert engagement this spring at the Henry Street Settlement - Abrons Arts Center (466 Grand at Pitt), according to official press notes. The concerts will also be filmed for future broadcast on PBS.

According to Deadline.com, Margo Matindale is set to join previously announced Patrick Wilson and Jennifer Ehle in a still untitled CBS pilot. The series is the brainchild of Susannah Grant, who is perhaps best known for her Oscar-nominated screenplay for the 2001 film Erin Brokovich.

Bay Area Cabaret continues its landmark season at the historic Venetian Room with 'Vintage Rose,' the West Coast solo concert debut of Tony Award winner and A.C.T. alumna Anika Noni Rose. Direct from the Lincoln Center, where she will appear early in February as a part of its acclaimed American Songbook series, this intimate evening will feature songs made famous by Blossom Dearie, Lena Horne, and other legendary artists.
