The City Council of the City of Vista voted unanimously at its meeting on November 27, 2018 to name the stage of the Moonlight Amphitheatre in honor of Moonlight's Founder and Artistic Director Emeritus Kathy Brombacher. The Kathy Brombacher Stage of the Moonlight Amphitheatre will be officially dedicated in early 2019 to honor the artistic legacy created by Mrs. Brombacher during the course of her 31-years as Artistic Director.

Kevin Black, one of South Florida's best-known producer/director/choreographers, is once again collaborating with award-winning vocalist Mimi J to create a concert program that will appeal to audiences of all ages. The two have worked together several times developing shows that achieved great success - most notably On the Radio: Sounds of the 70s, which debuted at Stage Door Theatre in 2014, and eventually morphed into I Will Survive.  That show went on to play several other area venues.

Last year I posted an article on my website about the top 10 shows I was the most excited for that would be in the Twin Cities across the 2018-2019 season. Some of them premiered in 2018 like Mamma Mia at the Ordway and, of course, the traveling production of Hamilton. However, as I look back at the least, a large majority of them are in 2019 and I'm still just as excited to see these productions as I was last year when I posted about them. Philadelphia Theatre Company welcomes back everyone's favorite princesses for a heart-warming afternoon and evening concert for the entire family. During A Dream Is A Wish: Holiday Princess Concert audiences will sing-along with a gathering of  princes and princesses from popular movie musicals and television shows in a one-day-only event on Sunday, December 16, at 3:00pm and 6:00pm. Children are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite prince or princess. After the show, the cast will host  a meet-and-greet reception with holiday cookies, apple cider and photo opportunities. The Holiday Princess Concert will take place at Philadelphia Theatre Company at the Suzanne Roberts Theatre (480 S. Broad Street). The Moonlight Cultural Foundation (MCF) announces the promotion of Jennifer Bradford to the position of Executive Director effective January 1, 2019. Bradford is a seven-year employee of the Foundation and for the past eighteen months has served as Director of Operations and Outreach. The Foundation, founded in 1974, is the 501 (c)(3) non-profit fundraising arm of the City of Vista's Moonlight Stage Productions entering its 39th season in 2019.

The second now is a beautiful production of VictorVictoria at Artistry in Bloomington. VictorVictoria is a truly unique story that also has some deep roots within the state of Minnesota.

BroadwayWorld has learned that The Muny announced today 25 principal cast members for the first season of its second century. Complete company casting will be announced throughout April and May. The 101st season opens on a brand new, state-of-the-art stage with Muny favorite Guys and Dolls followed by the U.S. regional premiere of Kinky Boots. The season continues with 1776, Rodgers + Hammerstein's Cinderella, Footloose and a newly-reimagined Lerner and Loewe's Paint Your Wagon.
