Jamie Lloyd's production of Urinetown The Musical, which has been voted Best New Musical in the West End in the BroadwayWorld.com UK 2014 Awards, recently announced an early closing date for today, January 3, 2015 at the Apollo Theatre. The production was originally slated to run through January 10.

Paper Mill Playhouse Extends ELF into 2015

Paper Mill Playhouse released a block of great seats today for its holiday musical, Elf, for the week following Christmas. Expanded availability includes performances from December 27, 2014 through January 4, 2015. Based on the 2003 film starring Will Ferrell, Elf has a book by Thomas Meehan and Bob Martin, music by Matthew Sklar and lyrics by Chad Beguelin. Elf is directed by Eric Ankrim and choreographed by Josh Rhodes. Elf runs eight times a week at the Millburn, New Jersey, theater through January 4, 2015. Elf has been playing to many sold-out houses since November 26. With Fully Committed running at the Menier, and Forbidden Broadway at the Vaudeville Theatre, Artistic Director David Babani welcomes Jamie Lloyd's major revival of Stephen Sondheim and John Weidman's Assassins as part of Menier Chocolate Factory's 10-year anniversary season. The production opens tonight, 1 December 2014, with previews from 21 November, and runs until 7 March 2015.
