Barry Champlain, Cleveland's controversial radio host, is on the air doing what he does best: insulting the pathetic souls who call in the middle of the night to sound off. Tomorrow, Barry's show is going into national syndication and his producer is afraid that Barry will say something that will offend the sponsors. This, of course, makes Barry even more outrageous. Funny and moving, off beat, outrageous and totally entrancing, Talk Radio had a long run at New York's Public Theatre starring the author.

Like a hard rock track turned all the way up, this hilarious and riveting one-man tour de force about masculinity, capitalism, and the great American way explodes on to Plays & Players' stage. In a nonstop, 'brilliant' (New York Times) collection of monologues, characters from top to bottom of the eat-or-be-eaten food chain delve into all matters of adult behavior. After a lengthy run Off-Broadway in the 1990s, Obie Award winning playwright Eric Bogosian's creation is remounted with Philadelphia's own Eric Scotolati, bringing the era of cable, wall street, and 'just say no' perfectly back to life and reminding us how little things change about the larger issues that define our time.
