Two local arts organizations have come together to produce the world premiere of a new music drama inspired by and containing the songs of Pittsburgh's best-loved musical legend.

Atlantic Theater Company (Neil Pepe, Artistic Director; Jeffory Lawson, Managing Director) is proud to announce casting, dates and a director for the American premiere of Olivier Award nominee Moira Buffini's award-winning play GABRIEL, which will mark the final main stage production of Atlantic's 2009-2010 season.

London's Finborough Theatre will present THREE SEAGULLS, three staged readings complementing the London premiere production of The Notebook of Trigorin. The three works scheduled for readings are THE SEAGULL, HIS GREATNESS, and PIETA.

Broadway star Meredith Patterson, most recently seen in Irving Berlin's White Christmas, will bring her new show, 'Sweet Old-Fashioned Girl,' to acclaimed club Birdland. Her show will play the club on March 15th at 7:00pm.

Executive Producer Lou Spisto today announced that due to unforeseen conflicts with Roger Rees' schedule, The Old Globe's upcoming production of What You Will has been replaced with Golda's Balcony starring four-time Tony Award nominee Tovah Feldshuh. Written by William Gibson and supervised by Scott Schwartz, Golda's Balcony earned Feldshuh a Tony Award nomination for Best Actress, and is the longest running one-woman show in Broadway history. The cast has been announced for Amas Musical Theatre's production of SIGNS OF LIFE. The cast will be led by Erika Amato, Wilson Bridges and Kurt Zischke. Performances begin on February 16 at The Marjorie S. Deane Little Theatre.
