50th Anniversary Celebration of HAIR at LaMaMa to Be Live Streamed

The New York Times was first to report that celebratory plans have been set for the groundbreaking musical HAIR's 50th Anniversary which will take place on January 21, 2017 at La MaMa. The event will include original cast members (Natalie Mosco; Allan Nicholls; the Rev. Marjorie Lipari; and Dale Soules), Andre De Shields, the show's creators Galt MacDermot and James Rado and more.

Historian George Muschamp to Helm 1776 at Gettysburg Community Theatre

Gettysburg Community Theatre, the non-profit 501c3 organization located in the original Elks Lodge building at 49 York Street within the first block of Lincoln Square in historic downtown Gettysburg, will present 1776 the musical, to celebrate the 240th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration Of Independence. Performances will be held at GCT Fridays and Saturdays at 7pm and Sundays at 2pm July 15-31, 2016. GCT only seats 80. Theatre Communications Group (TCG), the national organization for theatre, is pleased to announce the recipients of the latest round of Global Connections. Supported by The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, Global Connections encourages reciprocity and cultural exchange through two programs: ON the ROAD grants to foster new relationships with international colleagues; and IN the LAB grants to further pre-existing international collaborations.
